Alici Restaurant on Bluewaters called for sophisticated art that was effortless in its elegance. A hyper realistic painting of the Amalfi coast provides a proud centerpiece to fresh, airy, interiors flooded with sunlight. A carefully curated composition of framed artworks by a medley of artists in multiple mediums adorns the staircase that leads upstairs to the open terrace with a stunning view of Dubai. One of these frames feature a portrait of Gio Ponti in blue pencil; a famous southern Italian architect who’s picturesque ceramic tiles decorate the whole restaurant. Scientific illustrations from the 18th century of various forms of ocean life provide points of visual interest on the second level.
